Mariana Castilho de Araujo Jorge holds a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), obtained in 2025, with a concentration in Criminal Law. During law school, she served as a teaching assistant at the Legal Practice Center in the criminal law division (2024–2025). Her monograph, “How the Current Justice System Contributes to the Secondary Victimization of Women Who Are Victims of Sexual Violence,” was approved with the highest grade.
She began her professional career as an intern at the Public Defender’s Office attached to the 42nd Criminal Court of the Rio de Janeiro Capital Judicial District (2022–2023) and subsequently worked at law firms specializing in criminal law (2023–2025). In the second half of 2025, she joined Fragoso Advogados as a lawyer.
