Rodrigo Falk Fragoso, a partner at Fragoso Advogados, discussed the growing judicialization of healthcare on the CBN Fortaleza radio program “Debates do Povo.” According to him, this judicialization is a phenomenon affecting both public and private healthcare. Fragoso spoke with journalist Marcos Tardin, Rogério Scarabel (former president of the National Supplementary Health Agency—ANS—and a partner at M3BS Advogados), and Vera Valente (executive director of the National Federation of Supplementary Health—FenaSaúde).
Rodrigo Fragoso warned consumers to be on the alert for fraudulent and abusive practices by healthcare service providers. He advocated for the responsible use of health plan resources and for raising awareness regarding consumer rights. He also advocated for resolving any disputes through administrative channels rather than the judicial system.
