Rodrigo Falk Fragoso, a partner at Fragoso Advogados, served as a panelist during the session “The Challenge of Fraud in Supplementary Health” at the 1st Seminar on the Dejudicialization of Supplementary Health, held in São Paulo this Thursday (9). The panel also included Justice Antonio Saldanha Palheiro of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), Judge Vanessa Mateus of the São Paulo State Court of Justice, and Vera Valente, Executive Director of the National Federation of Supplementary Health (FenaSaúde).
The lawyer discussed how consumers are induced to hand over their login credentials for insurance apps, allowing third parties to orchestrate fraudulent reimbursement schemes in their names. This practice not only deceives consumers but also contributes to the operating deficits of health insurance providers, making services even less affordable for Brazilians.
