This work emerged during the enriching classes of the Philosophy of Law course within the Master’s program at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. Classes where debates over ideas and thoughts emerged. The book supports the subject “Law and Liberty,” taught by the honoree, Professor Dr. Marcia Cristina de Souza Alvim. The collection will contribute to academic debates, prompting deeper reflection not only within the philosophical sphere but also in the real, everyday world. The chapter written by Thais de Oliveira Mondolfo addresses the provisional execution of sentences in Jury Trials in light of the Anti-Crime Law.
