Mariana Castilho

Mariana Castilho de Araujo Jorge graduated in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro in 2025, with a concentration in Criminal Law. During law school, she served as a teaching assistant at the Legal Practice Center in the criminal law area (2024–2025). Her thesis, How the Current Justice System Contributes to the Secondary Victimization of Women Victims of Sexual Violence, received the highest academic distinction.

She began her professional career as an intern at the Public Defender’s Office of the State of Rio de Janeiro alongside the 42nd Criminal Court of the Capital District of Rio de Janeiro (2022–2023), and subsequently interned at law firms specializing in criminal law (2023–2025). In the second half of 2025, she joined Fragoso Advogados as an attorney.
